Fantasies & Fae

The Field of Mushrooms

Starting in 2020 I started using patterns and repeated shapes and colours to build environments. This piece was the start of the trend for me, being made in late 2020.

Made with inked link work, watercolour painting on wayercolour paper, cropped and digitally presented on a white squared canvas,

Shroom Flute

Made for the Autumn Season of 2020. I started using the settings of mushroom meadows, ponds and forests for my artwork.

Helped tie my works together and build a word for my character. This lil one is a particular favourite of mine. They can be seen in other artworks I am yet to publish! Often alongside the fishing Fae one of the following pieces.

I like to think they are related to the cheekier ginger Fae! And they compliment one enough by having contrasting personalities.

Made with watercolour and Ink on Watercolour paper. Cropped digitally and displayed on a square canvas. This time with textured cropping for the top and bottom, as I was still experimenting with digital layouts.

The White Stag

When you find a mythical beast or rare critter what else do you do but play with them! Again made for the Autumn of 2020. At this point I was starting to pick and choose what I wanted to represent in this theming and the mythical White Stag was one of the first to come to mind!

i wanted to create a more muted environment for this one so that the stag was truly the focal point. So I made suggestions of blowing wind and layers upon layers of trees all with the stag at the front and centre!

Watercolour and Ink on Watercolour paper, digitally cropped onto a square canvas.
